Email Signature Customization — Styling, Layout, Logo & Fields
Consolidated request for a more flexible signature builder. Merged from multiple posts covering styling, layout, logo handling, field content, and preview. Specific asks:
Typography & styling
Per-line / per-field typography — font color, size, bold, and italic for each individual line and data field
Adjustable padding/spacing (top of the signature, and before/after lines)
Team Signature Data styling — per-field bold, color, and size (e.g. company name bold in brand color, user name slightly larger than body text)
Layout & arrangement
Reorder/reposition signature components (custom arrangement)
Add line breaks in the field layout without hand-editing HTML
Keep the social/contact block inline on an existing line instead of forcing a new line
Multi-line company address (e.g. City / State / Zip on its own line)
Logo & images
Place the logo above or below the signature, not just left or right
Make the logo clickable with a URL
Use different logo images for Replies/Forwards vs New Messages
Fields & content
Static/global text fields — add fixed text anywhere (e.g. "Kind regards" at the top), beyond repurposing the Company Address field
Control display-name format (First Last vs Last First pulled from M365)
Communication/social icons — phone, mobile, email, web — with custom-icon support and a website option
Selective hyperlinking — apply links to only the email/website, not phone numbers

I would like to be able to
Preview users’ signatures, not just the sample data
Preview signature with sample data to change to custom sample data
The ability to change the positions of signature components
Social media links - possible to change icons or use custom icons, and include the company website as another option
The ability to add a URL link to the logo image. At present, a URL link can only be added to the banner
The ability to add custom text to other areas of the signature, and not just append to the bottom or in the mandatory disclaimer. Some users have previously added kind regards to the beginning of their signatures for all users
The ability to change font properties - colour, size, and style to all elements in the signature
The ability to apply links to only the email address and website only and not include the phone numbers. I don’t want to have work phone numbers and mobile numbers to be underlined with a link applied
The ability to add line breaks in the field layout instead of using HTML to add a <br>
ability to change font formatting for data fields
The ability to add image placement for the logo to be placed under data fields instead of left or right

Signature Customization
Signature styling and customization improvements:
Add the ability to change logo images for Replies and Forwards (different from New Messages)
Add the ability to adjust padding/space at the top of the signature
Per-line typography control: change font color, bold, italicize, and font size for each individual line/field
Static text fields — ability to add a field with globally-set static content (beyond repurposing Company Address)
Team Signature Data improvements — per-field bold, color, and font size (e.g. company name bold and in brand color, user name slightly larger than body text)

Feature parity with signature competitors
I would like to see feature parity with other competitors like exclaimer. This would allow us to extract the full value from Inky and remove another vendor from our stack.
-Signature designer (with layout flexibility)
-Scheduled signature
-Banner campaigns
-Ability for end users to select signature to be used

signatures custom arrangement
When using a custom arrangement for the signature layout it would be good to be able to add a free text block to a line.
e.g. if i wanted the have “Website: “ followed by the company link/url
It would also be good if I add the social media block onto an existing line that i didn’t add a return before.
e.g. if i put the company link followed by the social media block, it puts the socal block on a new line even tho i have it on the same line
Lastly, I have a client that wants their logo on top and another wants it under the signature block. inky only has options for left or right.

Communication Icons
We need phone / mobile / email / web icons - currently we use Exclaimer and some of the Customers like the icons… Inky needs them too!

ability to change name format in signature
currently inky pulls the display name from MS, which some clients have set as last name first, which then carries over to inky but clients want first name last name on their signature.

I would also like to see an additional line for “free text” field where users can put in info like their own upcoming out-of-office time. We already use the user-specific licenses field for their degrees, certifications, licenses, etc. and the users have no other place to list this. We use the Footer field for holidays or office closures, but need somewhere where users can list their own upcoming OOO dates.
